We feel that a school uniform helps to build a feeling of school identity and a sense of community. There is no specific stockist and parents should feel free to purchase wherever they wish. All prices are approximate. The following list is compulsory :-
Boys: Girls:
Grey Trousers Grey Skirt/Pinafore Dress or Grey Trousers
White Shirt White Blouse
In addition all children should wear a white shirt/blouse with a red tie (£2) and a royal blue sweater (c.£9), or a white collared polo shirt and a sweatshirt (£9.00) or cardigan (£11) and white or grey socks or tights. Suitable indoor shoes should be worn - black plimsolls are very acceptable. Outdoor footwear should be dark in colour and preferably black or brown. Brightly coloured trainers or shoes should not be worn.
In the summer months girls may wear a blue gingham dress and all children may wear a white school polo shirt (£8.50).
The wearing of jewellery is not permitted. (This reduces the risk of accidents).
P.E. Girls and boys should wear a white tee-shirt and white shorts. Plimsolls (pumps) are also necessary as the school hall is used for P.E. and also has to be used for school meals and other activities.
Sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts, tee-shirts, coats, reading folders, PE bags and satchels bearing the school logo and an appropriate school tie are available from school.
Please contact the School Secretary: Mrs. C Holmes.
NB. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE CHILD’S NAME.
*Application forms for the local Authority Scheme of Aid for meals, are obtainable from school or from the Education Welfare Offices, Room 433, County Hall, Wakefield.
