Special Educational Needs Assistant x 2

 

Closing date: Thursday, 26th March at 12 noon

Salary details: G4 £18,795 - £19,171 pro rata – Term Time Only

Contract Type: temporary (the contract is assigned to an Educational Health Care Plan which may reduce over time or cease when the ECHP ceases or the pupil leaves the school)

Post 1: Hours Per Week: 15 hrs – Monday to Friday mornings with one afternoon (times and afternoon session to be negotiated)

Post 2: Hours Per Week: 15 hrs – Monday to Friday afternoons with one morning (times and morning session to be negotiated)

We are seeking to appoint two outstanding Special Educational Needs Assistants to work with two young children needing SEN support.  This post is primarily a 1:1 role for the two children with Education and Healthcare plans in our Reception class.

The role involves supporting the children with their specific needs and working closely with the teaching team and outside agencies to provide flexible, inclusive learning for the children. 

Previous experience of working with children with SEND and an understanding of how to support a child experiencing social communication difficulties would be beneficial.

Ideally, the candidate would also have a childcare qualification at Level 3 or equivalent.  Additionally, we are looking to appoint someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and able to establish a warm and caring relationship to support and manage the child’s social and emotional needs.  Excellent communication and record keeping skills will be required to work collaboratively with the child’s family, school staff and outside agencies to support the child’s development.

The role will require the candidate to take suggested activities from class teachers and outside agencies and provide appropriate support on a daily basis. The candidate would be expected to work in a flexible way to support the child

within the class environment and outside of class on a 1:1 basis and as part of small groups.

The successful candidate needs to be resilient, energetic and determined to provide the best possible support, through a proactive and flexible approach. Initiative and creativity in adjusting tasks and activities in response to the child’s needs, in order to ensure progress and achievement against set targets and goals will be essential.

Hours Per Week: 35 hrs – Monday to Friday – 8:00 am – 4:00pm

An Administrative Officer is required as soon as possible, to support and be the face of this busy Catholic school.

A Senior Administrative Officer is required as soon as possible, to support and be the face of this busy Catholic school.

We pride ourselves in the high standards that we have set for our school and we are looking to appoint someone to join our team in this very important role.  Full details of the role and requirements are detailed in the job specification.  Ideally, the successful candidate will be experienced and skilled in working in a busy school environment. In addition you will have experience of dealing with financial aspects of the school including HR and payroll information and overseeing financial control systems. You will also be proficient in working with IT systems.
